Historic monument
In 1802 the Abbey Church became a parish church and was classified as a Historic Monument by Prosper Mérimée in 1840.
It is considered as one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in the Dauphiné and was mostly built between the XIIth. and XVth. centuries.
It features a number of paintings , including copies of XVIth. and XVIIth. Italian masters, and also includes original paintings by artists such as Daniel Sarrabat.
