Welcome in Saint-Antoine l'Abbaye

Situated in the Department of the Isère at the gateway to the Drôme, and half way between Grenoble and Valence, the mediaeval village of Saint-Antoine l’Abbaye is considered as one of the jewels of the heritage of the Rhône-Alpes region.

An important place of pilgrimage for centuries, the village retains numerous architectural remnants of its prestigious past. The site of Saint-Antoine, officially listed as a French Historical Monument, remains, as in the past, an important centre of attraction for people who are interested in history.

You can discover the majesty of the Gothic Abbey or stroll through the mediaeval alleys and passages in the heart of what is a very rich region: Saint Marcellin, origin of the famous cheese, Pont-en-Royans, at the foot of the plateau of the Vercors, and Vinay, the main producer of Grenoble walnuts.
